Orient Express...A mythic trip

You might have dreamt at some point to take a journey on the mythical Orient Express, to feel like James Bond, Hercule Poirot or a Prince from Istanbul...So why not go for it for your honeymoon?

A London-Venice trip will cost you £1190 (2 days/1night)
This includes a Brunch with Bellini and a four-course dinner, prepared by French chefs.
The London-Paris will cost £690, whilst the Paris-Budapest-Bucarest-Istanbul (5 nights) averages at £6200.

Ok, this is not a cheap train ride, but picture yourself in this historic train, savouring lobster cooked by a Michelin chef, dressed in your most beautiful clothes, enjoying the vintage atmosphere and this je ne sais quoi of another era... totally priceless, don't you think?

If you would like to discover more on the Venice Simplon Orient Express have a look here:

And in the meantime enjoy a few pictures...

Nail Art

Well, I am not - unfortunately - very good at looking after my nails and do not care much about their appearance. For my wedding, I went for a traditional French manicure but if I had known a Nail art expert I would have definitely gone for it...I love the fact that IT IS ART!
Nail Artist use nothing less than water colour to draw and colour patterns on nails, plus some very thin painting brushes.

I have selected a few pictures of Nail Artists for you, with a slightly biased focus on French artists...or French themes!

Love Locks - Les cadenas d'Amour...

Although it stirred controversy over the past few months, Les Cadenas D'Amour du Pont des Arts et du Pont de L'Archeveché (pictured above) are a must-see if you plan a romantic trip to Paris.
If you feel drawn to follow the trend, get a padlock, put your initials on it, find a space for your "cadenas d'Amour" and let it be forever...

Each time I walk on these bridges I do marvel at all this evidence of love, et oui! I also like the fact that people took possession of this bridge to make it special. It is for me a masterpiece, a collective work of art!

I thought this Love Lock Tradition was unique in the world (how pretentious of me, little French lady!) so to repair my mistake I have put together for you a selection of Love Lock Places in different areas of the world...And Apparently this trend is spreading!

Which one is your favourite? Mine has to be the one in the Yellow Mountains of China...How grandiose!
