Ideas and Inspiration for a Christmas Wedding

I recently got in touch with a bride and groom to be, who are thinking of having their wedding around Christmas time to make the most of the winter magic.

I'm really excited about it and think a Christmas/Winter wedding can be very atmospheric and unique... a perfect setting for an intimate party in a warm and cosy environment.

Imagine having your meal by a cracking fire, on a lavishly decorated wood banquet table; playing with the colours of the Christmas season: red, brown, white, gold, green and create fantastic centrepieces with berries, holly and cotton wool... Turn pine cones into place names and spray birch bark with silver or gold paint...

For the drinks, swap fresh drinks for delicious mulled wine and hot chocolates with marshmallows and let the room be filled with smell of cardamom and cloves... I also like the idea of having a coffee bar with personalised coffee cups!

The great advantage of a winter wedding is that you will not worry about the weather as you will not plan to have your wedding outside. And if you happen to have some snow on the day, that would be even better: think of the fabulous backdrop you would have for your wedding pictures!
